New style, new features but same forum! Still geared towards members being able to operate with minimum staff interference. A warm welcome back to returning members- you will find your dragon biographies exactly as and where you left them!
DCRP first started back in 2008 but is still going strong today. After the hosting site got upgraded, it was time for this forum to receive a revamp and make it accordingly modern. So what's new? Apart from the huge graphical upgrade, there are some new codes around the forum to add to customizability for users. The Clans system got a revamp, and is now seemlessly integrated into the forum- no more password boards, they will now automatically show up for you when you join! No more Click Exchange thread either- you can add dragons directly to your profile that will then be shown everywhere you post and it won't take up the character count limit on your signature and will give you more views as you roleplay. Scroll links can now be added directly to your profile and you can add a profile "hover over" image if you want something more than just the avatar. A new tabbled table can now be added to posts; presenting your chacters in roleplays never looked so good! Head over to the forum FAQ to get a ready-made one so you're good to go. For those more advanced roleplayers who enjoy having a particular font or formatted text can now preload all the coding needed from within their own profile; each post made after that will then offer the coding needed upfront without you having to do anything else- choose to use it during roleplay or delete it for regular posting. This is a forum entirely dedicated to roleplaying the dragons of the Dragon Cave world. The roleplaying takes place in the same world of Valkemare, but on a continent away from that of the site's basis. In these lands, dragons rule the roost and humans are no where to be found, though traces of their ancient presence can still be occasionally found.
The dragons on this continent once lived in harmony with humans, until the humans took it upon themselves to steal eggs, breed their own dragons and use these to fight and drive out the existing dragons in order to create more space for human habitats. Furious, the wild dragons banded together and many of those who sided with the humans eventually turned on their masters- a large war which has shaped much of the land we see now. While humans are no longer present, great battles still occur as different clans collide for better territory shares, much like the humans fought against the dragons. It's up the dragons now to decide whether they wish to end the fighting and live in peace, or battle until one clan alone rules these great lands. In order to roleplay on this site, you must also belong to the DragCave adoptables site which this forum is based on. Once you have collected some dragons there, you may roleplay their journeys, interactions and personalities on this forum.
